What is basic Alexa on an Echo?

Alexa is the voice on Amazon’s Echo devices. You can ask her to play music or set a timer. She can answer questions, too. Basic Alexa has no monthly fee.

Why choose Tiina over a basic Echo?

How much does an Echo cost?

A new Echo Dot was $79.99 and Echo Show 5 was $99.99 when checked October 28, 2026. Your parent also needs home internet to use Alexa.

What is the difference between Echo Dot and Echo Show?

Echo Dot is a smart speaker. Echo Show also has a screen and camera. Both can answer questions when your parent speaks.

Can basic Alexa answer a follow-up question?

Yes. Turn on Alexa’s Follow-Up Mode. Your parent can then ask another question without saying the wake word again.
